Nick and I met playing co-ed beach flag football in Huntington Beach, CA. We were put on the same team, and a few games into our first season we became friends. On Nick's birthday we decided to take the leap from friendship to a relationship, and our love has continued to grow from that day on. In addition to the 2 of us, we also have 2 fur-babies, both Labradors. They are two of the cutest dogs, both very quirky personalities and both very sweet. Luna is our little princess and acts more like a cat than a dog, and Tiller is our fetch-playing squishy snuggle bug.
We both try and stay active, and can typically be found playing sports, going on summer river trips, doing projects around the house (wood-working and home updates, etc), or biking around the beach. We have always talked about what our activities would look like with children, and have dreams of hiking with those cool off-road strollers, and attaching a baby cart to our bikes. My girlfriends and I also have plans of many jogs with our babies (I say jogs because I am a very slow runner). Nick and I also love our lazy days and nights home with a RedBox movie or Netflix snuggled up on the couch.
Nick is an amazing cook, and his chicken enchiladas are definitely my favorite meal that he makes. They are SO good! At the firehouse the guys trade off who is cooking dinner for the crew, and through the years he has come home with some amazing recipes. We also have a policy at our house that if you cook, you don't clean. I love this policy when I'm the one cooking!
After 4 years of dating we had a beautiful barefoot beach wedding on the sand in Cozumel, Mexico. We had 45 of our closest family and friends fly to Mexico with us for a whole week full of adventure, including one of our favorites; swimming with whale sharks. They are magnificent creatures, and if the opportunity ever arises we suggest doing it!
